Safe and Legitimate Ways to Get Robux
There's no shortcut that magically deposits Robux into your account. But there are four real, official methods that consistently work — they just take a bit of time and effort. Here's exactly how each one works.
Set expectations first
None of these methods pay out instantly or in huge amounts. They reward consistency over weeks and months, not minutes. If anything promises "1,000 free Robux in 60 seconds," it's a scam — see our scam warning guide.

1. Microsoft Rewards
Microsoft Rewards is a free, official points program run by Microsoft. You earn points for everyday actions in the Bing search engine and Microsoft Edge browser, then redeem those points for gift cards — including Roblox Robux gift cards.
- Sign in with a Microsoft account at the official Microsoft Rewards program.
- Complete your daily set: a handful of quick search-related activities and quizzes.
- Use Bing as your search engine in Microsoft Edge to earn points passively while you browse.
- Once you've saved enough points, redeem them in the rewards catalog for a Robux digital gift card.
- Redeem the resulting code on the official Roblox redemption page, signed into your own account.
Time investment: a few minutes a day. Payout: small but steady, and 100% official.
2. Donation Games
Some official Roblox experiences — the best-known example being "Please Donate"-style games — are built entirely around players choosing to gift each other Robux. You join a public server, interact with other players, and some of them may choose to donate.
- Search for donation-style experiences directly in the Roblox app or on roblox.com.
- Join public servers and be an active, friendly participant — donations are voluntary and never guaranteed.
- Never pay anyone first, and never promise to "pay back double" — that pattern is a common scam on top of a legitimate game type.
- Treat any Robux you receive as a bonus, not an income source.
Time investment: variable. Payout: unpredictable — this is a community mechanic, not a job.
3. Create and Sell
Roblox has a full creator economy. If you can design, build, or code, you can earn Robux directly from other players by publishing things they want to buy.
- Build an experience: use Roblox Studio to create a game, then monetize it with game passes or developer products.
- Design UGC items: submit clothing or accessories through Roblox's UGC creator program, subject to their approval process.
- Sell game passes: offer perks (extra inventory slots, cosmetic effects, VIP areas) inside your own experience.
- Withdrawals and payouts are handled entirely through Roblox's official Developer Exchange (DevEx) and marketplace systems.
Time investment: the highest of all four methods — real skill-building required. Payout: the only method with real long-term earning potential.
4. Affiliate Program
Roblox and select partner programs let creators share official game or item links. When new users engage through your referral under the program's terms, you can earn Robux or other rewards.
- Only join official, published affiliate or creator referral programs — never a third-party "referral" site promising Robux for signups.
- Share your links transparently on YouTube, social media, or your blog, and disclose that they're affiliate links (see our disclosure practices).
- Never ask people to hand over account details "to confirm the referral" — legitimate programs never require that.
Time investment: ongoing content creation and audience building. Payout: scales with your audience size and engagement.
What these four methods have in common
Every legitimate method above is run through an official Microsoft or Roblox system, takes real time or effort, and never asks for your password. If you ever see a "method" that skips all three of those things, it's not on this list for a reason — learn why here.
